It's been ages since I heard that line and ever since I lived alone, I learned how to cook to "survive". I also learned that I love to cook and experiment on new recipes. I have a loyal audience (who is Steve) because he eats anything I cook. :)
Anyway, this is the second time I cooked Picadillo... my first time was in North Carolina when I was trying out new recipes after a hiatus of eating salty foods due to my kidney condition then. I used the same Cuban recipe but I remember that I used black olives and more tomato paste before than now.
